Who is a fan of the NSale? (obviously I am!) Why do I enjoy it? Well, every season Nordstrom curates a ton of new fashion that will be making its debut in the fall - and they put it on sale BEFORE it hits the season! Yep, in August they put the NEW fashion for fall on sale and give card members the chance to buy the upcoming season's best of the best for way below retail. Now, not all of it is a win. Obviously there are pieces on there that I could care less about and sometimes are not worth the money. Often, though, there are super cute new denim (my fave!) and new style booties/boots that I would pay regular price for in the fall. Nordstrom also puts out some amazing beauty items in the sale as well. Lately, maybe in the last few years or so, they have also added in some great home pieces so definitely worth checking those out (but I will only be reviewing women's fashion and a couple of beauty items here.)
All of the items I'm linking are MY favorites for this year's sale and are all linked here in my liketoknow.it page. Also, its important to note a few key details PRIOR to shopping the sale! 1. The sale is open to different groups of Nordstrom card holders based on their level of spending.
Since I have "Ambassador" status, I will shop starting August 7th. However, no matter what your status, you can preview ALL of the sale items now by going to the Nordstrom.com website. Since I know it can be quite overwhelming to navigate 20 pages of just the women's fashion, I decided to include my favorite pieces for you here (and remember you can shop via my liketoknow.it page links here.)
2. The best way to save all of your favorites is to "heart" each piece on my liketoknow.it page so you can easily go back on your sale date, click on your faves, and purchase! If you don't want to go that route, you can also create a wishlist on the Nordstrom website and refer back to that when the sale goes live for you! *Things go fast so don't expect to go a few days later and find what you want. Popular items will sell out!
3. If you don't have a Nordstrom card and you are planning on shopping when the rest of the Non-card holders shop, be warned that there won't be much left. I hear that the best way to do it is to apply for the card, use it for your purchases and then pay it off directly so you aren't incurring any credit card debt.
To make it easier, I've broken it down into categories and will be sharing my favorite shoe and coat/jackets in this post. First up, my favorite, shoes!!! (I decided to add the photos WITH the regular price and the sale price because I think it's helpful when deciding whether the sale is even worth it to you or not!) My top favorites that I will definitely be purchasing are 1) the brown suede Torey Burch bootie and 2) The Charles David Suede Bootie.
Last year, the big seller was the Sam Edelmen bootie in Tortilla Suede - this was such a hot seller all season long and I will be wearing mine this fall for sure. Such a cute and versatile shoe.
This season the color palette is noticeably darker - less "tan" and more "camel" and black colorways.

The other category I want to cover today is coats/jackets. I feel like this category is where you get the most bang for your buck because these coats/jackets are not usually on sale (and never for these prices!) later on in the season. So if you're going to take advantage of one item, make it a jacket or a coat! My top two favorites from this category are the "Avec Les Filles" jacket and the Halogen Camel Coat. I will most likely pull the trigger and buy the Camel Coat this season because I need something that I can wear out to dinner and to nicer events. Right now I've got a puffer jacket, a ski jacket and a leather jacket. Time to expand my coat wardrobe! Last year, I purchased a leather jacket from the sale and it was by far one of my favorite NSale purchases ever! They are selling a similar jacket this year, but it doesn't have the removable hoodie.
